GAF Master Elite Contractor Residential & Commercial Everything In-House $0-Down Financing
What We Do

Every roof type.
Both markets.

Pitched shingles or flat membrane, single-family or multi-story commercial — we engineer, supply, and install it all with our own crew. No handoffs.

— 01

Pitched Roofs

Architectural asphalt shingles, cedar shake replacement, full GAF Lifetime Roofing System. For homes of all sizes, installed to manufacturer spec so the Golden Pledge warranty stands.

— 02

Flat & Commercial Roofs

TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen for warehouses, retail, multifamily, and mixed-use. We spec and install what your building actually needs — and we can add solar to that flat surface in the same project.

— 03

Energy-Efficient Siding

Insulated vinyl and fiber cement that lower heating and cooling loads year-round. Pairs naturally with a new roof, solar, and heat pump for a complete whole-home upgrade.

The State Solar Difference

Most roofers and solar companies don't talk. That's your problem.

When there's a leak three years from now, who do you call? The roofer says it's the solar company's fault. The solar company says it's the roofer's. You're stuck in the middle holding two warranties that each point at the other.

State Solar does both. One company, one crew, one warranty. No phone tag, no blame game, no finger-pointing.

"Do the roof and solar together — and never pay to remove and reinstall your panels for a future roof job."

Panel removal and reinstallation typically runs $1,500–$3,000 when you hire a roofer who didn't install your solar. When State Solar does both, that job doesn't exist.

One project. One schedule. One point of contact from first call to final inspection.

Certification & Warranty

2–3% of roofers in North America earn this.

GAF Master Elite is the highest contractor designation GAF offers — and it takes documented training, proven quality standards, and ongoing certification to keep it. Most roofers don't qualify.

It matters because it's the only way to offer the GAF Golden Pledge: GAF's strongest warranty, backed by the manufacturer itself.

2–3%
of roofing contractors in North America hold the GAF Master Elite designation.
Designation

GAF Master Elite Contractor

Earned through verified training, quality performance, and licensing requirements. Not a badge you buy — it's a designation GAF awards based on documented track record. State Solar holds it, and keeps it renewed.

Warranty

GAF Golden Pledge

GAF's strongest warranty. Covers both the materials and the workmanship — not just the shingles, but the full installation. Backed by GAF, not just the contractor. You're fully covered. No fine print that shifts liability back to you.

Scope

Residential & Commercial

The designation covers both markets. Whether it's a three-bedroom Colonial in Westchester or a 30,000-square-foot flat roof in Newark, we bring the same GAF-certified installation standards to the job.

The GAF Lifetime System

A roof is six
layers of protection.

We install all six. That's what separates a GAF Lifetime Roofing System from a shingle job — and what makes the Golden Pledge warranty possible.

GAF Lifetime Roofing System — exploded layer view
1
Roof Deck

The structural foundation — sheathing that everything above it is nailed into. A sound deck is non-negotiable. We inspect and replace any compromised sections before we install a single layer above it.

2
Leak Barrier

Ice-and-water protection along eaves, valleys, and penetrations — the spots where water finds its way in. Self-adhering membrane, installed first.

3
Roof Deck Protection

A breathable synthetic underlayment over the full deck. Sheds wind-driven rain, manages moisture, and gives the shingles a consistent nailing surface.

4
Starter Strip

A factory-applied sealant strip along the eave and rakes that bonds the first course of shingles to the deck and locks the edges against wind uplift.

5
Architectural Shingles

Dimensional, laminated shingles that form the primary weather barrier. Engineered to work as a system with every layer below them — not a standalone product.

6
Ridge Cap & Ventilation

Caps the ridge with a purpose-built product while allowing the attic to exhale moisture and heat. Proper ventilation is what keeps the layers below it from degrading prematurely.

Siding before and after — weathered cedar shake replaced with modern fiber cement
Siding

Siding that works harder than it looks.

The right siding isn't just curb appeal — it's insulation, moisture management, and energy performance. We install insulated vinyl and fiber cement products that reduce heat loss in winter and keep cooling loads down in summer.

Lower bills, better comfort, a home that looks sharp. And because State Solar also does roofing, solar, and heat pumps, siding fits naturally into a whole-home efficiency upgrade rather than a standalone project.

  • Insulated vinyl and fiber cement options
  • Reduces heating and cooling loads
  • Pairs with solar + heat pumps for whole-home efficiency
  • Available for residential and light commercial
  • $0-down financing available

"Got quotes from three roofers. State Solar was the only one who walked the whole thing, showed me the deck condition, and explained why the Golden Pledge was worth having. Roof was done in two days. Clean site, no surprises."
Tom A.Homeowner · Rockaway, NY
"Our old solar company said the leak wasn't their fault. State Solar replaced the roof, reinstalled our panels, and gave us a single warranty covering both. Haven't had a problem since. Should have done it this way from the start."
Linda & Greg P.Homeowners · Westport, CT

In-person, ~1 hr

Yes. We install and repair TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen on commercial buildings, multifamily properties, and any residential structure with a flat or low-slope roof. Flat roofs are also a natural fit for commercial solar arrays — we can design and install both in one project.
That's exactly what we specialize in. When you do the roof and solar together with State Solar, you get one project timeline, one crew, one permit package, and one warranty covering both. You also avoid the $1,500–$3,000 panel removal and reinstallation cost that comes up every time a roofer who didn't install your solar has to work around it.
GAF Master Elite is the highest contractor designation GAF offers, held by roughly 2–3% of roofers in North America. It requires documented training, quality standards, and licensing verification to earn and maintain. Only Master Elite contractors can offer the GAF Golden Pledge — GAF's strongest warranty, covering both materials and workmanship. Standard roofing warranties cover materials only. The Golden Pledge covers the full installation, backed by GAF directly.
Yes. If your roof was damaged by hail, wind, or another covered event, we document the damage with photos and a written assessment, prepare the claim package your insurance company needs, and work directly with your adjuster. We don't make promises about what your insurer will approve — but we give you the best possible documentation to make the case.
Most residential pitched roofs install in one day. Larger homes, complex roof geometries, or combined roof-and-solar projects typically run two to three days. Flat commercial roofs depend on square footage — we'll give you a specific timeline in your quote. From signed contract to install day, plan on one to two weeks for material procurement.
$0-down financing is available for roofing, siding, and combined roof-and-solar projects. We'll show you monthly payment options alongside the total project cost so you can compare. Roofing is not eligible for the same solar-specific rebate programs — we'll be straight with you about what applies to your project and what doesn't.
Insulated siding adds a continuous layer of rigid foam insulation over your wall sheathing, which reduces thermal bridging through the studs. The result is a measurably lower heating and cooling load. The savings depend on your home's existing insulation, climate, and heating source — we'll give you an honest estimate for your specific situation, not a generic marketing number.
