State Solar was founded in 2018. For the first few years, we were exactly what the name suggests — a roofing company and a solar installer with serious hands-on experience in both trades. We'd show up to a site, assess the roof, put the panels on, and move on.
Over time, something kept proving itself: homeowners got the best outcomes when we handled the roof and the solar together. No coordination gaps between contractors, no warranty finger-pointing, no two separate crews stepping on each other's work. We were already doing both well. It made more sense to own the whole job.
That realization pushed us to consolidate and go full EPC — engineering, procurement, and construction across solar, battery storage, EV charging, HVAC, and roofing & siding, all under one roof. One crew, one relationship, one number to call, from the first conversation to switch-on. That's what we are today, and it's still the whole company in a sentence.
